Voigt Family Farms

Bringing Life Back to Family Land

We raise Simmental Angus beef- a wonderful mix of the Simmental's tender, lean, palatable beef and high meat yields with the Angus' high degree of marbling, for premium quality meat.

During the winter months, our cattle are raised in a spacious 3/4 acre yard with grass and oat hay, fresh water and supplemented corn feed. Their cornstalk bedding is regularly refreshed for a clean, happy living space. In the summer months, when the pasture is lush, the cows are rotated to pasture to live their lives grazing nutritious grasses, as ruminants should.

It is our priority to ensure our cattle have plenty of room, quality feed, and pasture available to give them the highest quality of life and nutritional value.

2024 butcher dates

Bringing Life Back to Family Land

In 2018, as husband and wife, we moved on to family land. At that time it was a crop farm and no longer held any livestock, as it once had. Then 2020 hit and the events of that year opened our eyes to the fragility of our food system. It was placed on our hearts to do more with our land -to bring livestock back and regenerate the health of our land for future generations- To Bring Life Back.

We are humbled to serve our community by raising quality beef so more people have the opportunity to buy locally, to have confidence in the nutritional quality of the meat they are feeding their families, and to play a part in decentralizing our food supply- in turn strengthening our efforts to keep small family farms thriving.

We thank you for your support!
